Happy Hump Day!

Happy Hump day! I'm so glad the week is about half over, as it's been a stressful week. I found out that Ashley got an 87 on her science fair project. Yea!!! I was really hoping she'd do okay (I wouldn't have given it more than an 80)....especially with what we had to work with. Long story, but let's just say she's happy with the grade.
1) Administrative Professionals Day (formally known as Secretary's Day):This unofficial holiday recognizes the work of secretaries, administrative assistants, receptionists , and other administrative support professionals. Over the years, this day has becoming one of the biggest workplace celebrations, and it's celebrated worldwide, through community events, social gatherings, and individual corporate activities recognizing support staff with gifts.
2). World Penguin Day: This holiday coincides with the annual northward migration of penguins, which happens each year on or around April 25th. Penguins do not fly, so they walk, or waddle their way to and from. Spend a little time learning about penguins today....or go to the zoo and watch them.

3). DNA Day: This holiday commemorates the day in 1953 when James Watson and Francis Crick's article on the structure of DNA was published, and the day in 2003 when the the Human Genome Project was completed, both of which were on April 25. I just keep thinking.... Love your DNA, after all, it's in your genes. LOL
4). Hug a Plumber Day: I guess just appreciating your plumber isn't enough, as you're suppose to give him/her a hug. Now, if you don't know how to hug your plumber, I found a web video that will give you instructions. Yeah, I don't know who comes up with this.... http://www.duluthtrading.com/store/about-duluth/plumbers-day/video-for-plumbers-day/video-for-plumbers-day.aspx
5). Red Hat Society Day: Today celebrates the 13th anniversary of the Red Hat Society. http://www.redhatsociety.com/aboutus/Legacy.html will give you all the information you ever carried to know...or not know. The Red Hat Society is a global society of women that supports and encourages women in their pursuit of fun, friendship, freedom, fulfillment, and fitness.
6). Malaria Awareness Day:This holiday was designated to be April 25 by President George W. Bush in 2007. In his proclamation, President Bush called on Americans to join in on the goal to eradicate malaria on the African continent. On April 25, 2006, President Bush described Malaria Awareness Day to be a day when "we focus our attention on all who suffer from this terrible disease -- especially the millions on the continent of Africa. Malaria kills about 1 million people every year.....
Hope you are having a good day.
