Trying....

Okay, I'm trying to get this blog up and running; however, I think I need some help. I really don't have any followers, and I'm not really sure how to get more followers. I've slowly been trying to get a few blog buttons on my blog. Today I added my Swagbucks swidget and link. Now, I can use any suggestions and comments....please.

  1. The first thing you need to do is find other bloggers that blog about the same things as you and network among them.

My book blog is popular with other book bloggers and their readers, as well as other bookish sites.

My other blog is kind of a catch all. I am not too keen on making it a giveaway blog, but I do like to review a lot of things there and just bs about the things that I do everyday-- much like on Gather.

JR and Bridget are frugal and family focused, and both are starting to do a lot of giveaways. If that is what you want to blog about, they could help you with the places they network more than I could. I think there are a lot of sites that do the coupon codes and deals out there already though, so I don't frequent a lot of the newer ones because they just repeat posts that I get from friends. HTH

  2. Jax, I agree with Sophie, finding your focus (or niche) is what you need to do. Then when you figure that out, it is all about finding like minded bloggers.

Link up your posts to link parties, and link up at blog hops to get more followers. The best way to do blog hops is by participating actively meaning that you follow them and leave a comment linking back to you.

At My Follow Us Monday Morning blog hop, I give some help as to how to do exactly that.

Also, get adsense!!!! You need to start earning from your work, and it is never to late to start. You can do it right in blogger, just go to the monetize tab in your blogger design tab.

If you need any more help, or if you have any specific questions, just send me an email.

BTW I added you to my blog link list, so that I will always be updated, whenever you post a new post.
